Not your average beauty trends

Although 2018 has come out with some really great beauty trends such as metallic highlighters and ombre lip sticks, it has also brought out some really strange trends that are floating all around Instagram. Coat hanger brows, corkscrew nails, and tinsel eyelashes are just a few of these wacky  trends coming out this year

Beauty magazine Glamour did a whole feature on strange beauty trends with one of those trends being coat hanger brows. Now this trend is exactly what it sounds like beauty gurus on Instagram are shaping their brows to look like coat hangers. If you thought it couldn't get any stranger there's also another brow trend called halo brows. To achieve the halo brow look you connect the ends of your eyebrows together  at the top of your forehead.

Another wacky beauty trend is corkscrew nails. These nails were first seen posted by the nail brand Kiara Sky. Corkscrew nails are long acrylic nails with the tip of the nail ending in a swirl. This trend isn't the most practical thing but it is a fun and interesting. 

Lastly, another strange beauty trend that was featured in Allure is tinsel eyelashes. This trend became popular by beauty guru Regina Tapla. In order to achieve this look Tapla got metallic hair tinsel and cut small pieces to place them on her eyelashes. To make it simpler to achieve this look you can find strip lashes that look like tinsel on amazon. The overall look is actually very pretty and can be perfect for a festival look or when the holiday season comes around.

Overall, even though these trends are out of the box if you want to try them don't let anyone stop you!
