A new image of beauty

As much as I love all things related to beauty and fashion, I will admit at times the consuming ideals and images that society projects for women to be perfect do get to me at times and any other women on this earth. Photoshopped images of models, products claiming to give you perfect skin, diets promising instant weight loss results are just a few things that drive women to have self-esteem issues. Yet, a foundation called the All Woman Project is working to change society's ideals of beauty.

The fashion magazine Cosmopolitan did a feature on the All Woman Project, claiming that the project is working against promoting photo shopped images of women in magazines. The foundation's main goal is to make girls and women feel beautiful in their skin in a society who is constantly telling them they are not enough.

The foundation is also taking it a step further by organizing events at schools ranging from elementary schools to college. They believe in order to make a change they must start locally in communities.

The All Woman Project was also featured in Allure magazine where they talked about how the foundation has teamed up with big brands such as Nike and Aerie to promote untouched and powerful new ads of beauty. Some of the models in these ads are familiar faces such as gymnast Aly Raisman who did an underwear ad for Aerie completely untouched from photoshop. The other models in the campaigns are completely diverse in their shape, race, and age.

This project is changing the way people see beauty in today's society. The All Woman Project is helping girls and women all over the nation feel beautiful in their skin. Everyone deserves to feel beautiful and no magazine or ad should tell them differently.
