Heavenly looks from the 2018 Met Gala
As someone who absolutely loves fashion and everything involving around it, the Met Gala is something I look forward to every year. It's one of the most highly anticipated parties among celebrities and designers, showcasing the most beautiful and creative looks. This year the theme of the Met Gala was "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination". Here are some of my favorite and most noteworthy looks seen gracing the carpet of the Met.
1. Blake Lively:
Lively is seen wearing a gorgeous Versace gown with a train so massive it had to be delivered via party bus according to Vogue. This stunning red dress with gold detailing fits the Met theme perfectly along with her gold head piece.
2. Hailey Baldwin:
The gorgeous model wore a gown done by designer Tommy Hilfiger. This beautiful gray dress included a long flowy train in the back and an off the shoulder cut. Baldwin dyed her hair pink for a fun pop of color and wore a flower crown for a more delicate and feminine look.
3. Gigi Hadid:
Model Gigi Hadid wore a dress created by Tommy Hilfiger. According to Hollywood Life the gown was inspired by stain glass windows often seen in Catholic Churches, which perfectly goes with the theme of the Met.
4. Kim Kardashian:
Kim Kardashian looked like a golden goddess in a Versace dress with bejeweled crosses. Her sleeked back updo and smoky eye makeup ties the look together perfectly. She paired the dress with minimal accessories wearing layered gold cross necklaces.
5. SZA:
Singer SZA looked like an angel in a pink gown designed by Versace. She paired her dress with statement boots and a gold head piece, making the overall look stand out.
6.Rihanna:
Last but certainly not least Rihanna never fails to go all out when it comes to her Met Gala looks. The celeb wore a beaded corset mini dress by Margiela and a matching bishop hat. Her look was full on inspired by Popes which fit the theme on the dot.
