The It bag of 2018

One of the hottest new trends of 2018 believe it or not is fanny packs. Now I know what you're thinking, fanny backs were probably something you've seen your parents rock in the 90s, paired with some crazy denim on denim ensemble.

But now the fanny pack has gotten a total makeover gracing the runways of high-end brands such as Gucci, Prada, and Fenty by Puma. Vogue magazine even declared fanny packs to be a big trend for Spring/Summer 2018. Their feature also stated a few reasons as to why fanny packs will be a big trend this year.

One reason is its versatility, fanny packs nowadays can be worn in multiple ways. For instance, you can wear it over your shoulder, around the waist, and as a crossbody bag even. Fanny packs also keep your hands free making it the perfect bag for all those summer music festivals.

Bazaar also did a feature on fanny backs but with a different spin giving readers 12 tips on how to wear and style this new trend. Some include the "Suited Up" trend which is pairing a fanny pack with a suit giving it a more casual vibe. Another look was the "Fur Real" trend with a fanny pack made out of faux fur.

Both magazines did a great job on their features. But personally, for me, Bazaar did an amazing job of featuring fanny packs by their detail and tips on how to style them. Vogue gave more of an overview of fanny packs with less detail.

Overall, fanny packs are set out to be a big trend in 2018 so make sure to be on the look out and don't be afraid to try something new!
